Realism is an important part of novels like these and I thought this one was above the level of plausibility. If you're reading this book for the sex there's not much I can say -- everyone gets their kink off in their own way. The story is trans and sexually positive although I was amused by the frequency of patriarchal attitudes in all phases of Cynthia's physical and mental transformation. As usual, the book could have been better proofread, but you can get the gist of what you're supposed to think, feel, understand. Pretty good effort in an unusual niche of the romantic/erotic novel.Product details

It was a lovely read. I really wanted to see what would happens to Cynthia.
The sexual scenes were well described. it was any CD' dream!
It was not realistic as Cynthiana did not talk about the hormones she needed to take or about the problem of facial hair removal.

It is not quite what I was looking for in regards to transitioning. It seems, and I stress seems, to be an honest approach to what is involved in some cases of transitioning but it relies too much on the sex, almost making it a "porno" read more than anything else. It would make good fiction for those interested in this type of story.
Just a little too much over the top for my liking. I'm not a prude but I would have appreciated a story that concentrated on the ups and downs that transgender people experience in their everyday life and the constant struggle to discover their true selves.
This was a very enjoyable read for me and I could feel myself in some of the same situations. I liked the book very much as it reminded me of my younger years when I also was experimenting.
I like it because it was very real the fear and anxiety of coming out. And being accepted as a normal person .
Incredibly long, ultimately fulfilling journey which was written where one wants to identify with the main character in all her trials and tribulations.
I'm not completely sure how to categorize this book...it's equal parts erotica and a journey of self-discovery. The writing is good, although somewhat repetitive use of certain terms when describing the sex scenes, but overall this is a pretty good story. We the readers are taken along as Cynthia's emotional and physical metamorphosis becomes greater and moves further along. She learns some of her preconceptions were totally wrong, along with some that were even better than she imagined. She discovers numerous major and minor behavioral changes she must go through to become completely female, and not just be some caricature that society has dictated. In other words, there's much more to being a woman than just wearing the appropriate clothing. The author certainly has done her homework, especially when representing the severe emotional roller coaster that Cynthia is on as she approaches various milestones in her journey.
What a great story. I've read a number of different stories around transvestism, cross dressing and transsexuality and certainly this is the best of them so far. Some good porn in here, but this is also a love story. Or I should say ends in a love story. The only thing that seems to be missing from real life is the heroine leaves her/his family totally out of the picture. It's as if Caitlin has chosen to kill off the whole family. (sub-note here in most transsexual stories the author kills off the father in order for the boy to turn into a girl) I warmly recommend this story, some pretty good sex, solo, oral, anal, and finally hetero if you believe a man can be turned into a woman. But its not just the sex, its the dressing up, the make-up, the apprehension about going out in public and looking for and needing support. The hero/heroine does it all.
